Year 4 News
Fri 10 May 2024This week has been another busy one despite it being a four day week. We have continued to learn about the Vikings attacking the Anglo-Saxons on Lindisfarne and have also studied an Anglo Saxon king, who was buried in his ship with all his important and precious belongings with him, helping us to understand more about what life was like in these times. In Science, the children were extremely excited to make circuits and make bulbs light up and buzzer sound.
Remember to read for Starbook and that it's Freezer Friday every week on a Friday- ice creams and lollies for a pound.

Fri 26 Apr 2024Year 6 have had another brilliant week this week. As we continue to prepare for SATS, we become increasingly amazed at their resilience. We cannot fault their effort. Aside from SATs preparations, we have been very busy building our hockey skills, playing some small games. We have also been learning about different family members in Spanish and this week, we have also had a visit from our mental health support team to aid the children with their mindset as they move towards getting ready for secondary school.
The Albany Junior football team, yesterday afternoon, played against Bramcote Church of England School. Unfortunately, the boys lost 3-0 but with some heroic goalkeeping by R. Straw, we managed to stay in the game and never give in. The team gave it everything up until the final whistle and we are truly proud of them for that. Our next game is scheduled for Thursday 16th May in a friendly against Bispham Drive Primary School.
