Albany Junior School vs Trowell Football Team

Image result for trowell cofe

On 13th October, the year 5/6 Football team travelled to Trowell C of E Primary School. In what was an attacking game, the final score was 6-2 to Albany! The team put in a fantastic performance, which they should be extremely proud of. Early Goals from Brandon Sodergren x 2 Lewis Harfield x 2 and Adam Rolinson ensured an unassailable 5-1 half time lead. The second half was a lot tighter between the sides, but a rocket from Jem Ashford topped off a brilliant win for the team. Well done Albany

Albany Juniors vs Southwark Primary Football Team

On Tuesday 4th October Albany Junior School hosted Southwark Primary School in a year 4/5 friendly match. The team played with their heads held high but unfortunately lost 9-0. We were proud of the boys for showing plenty of resilience! Well done Albany.

Albany Juniors vs Bramcote CofE Primary Football Team

On Thursday the 29th of September, Albany Junior School hosted their first league match of the year against Bramcote C of E Primary School. After a hard fought, tight game, the score ended 2-0 to Bramcote. As always, we were extremely proud of the boys, who played in the match. On another day, they could have easily won.

A thank you from Toton Tesco

I am writing this letter to all the students and staff of Albany

my Farm to Fork trail. As you know it was my first time completing the

completing the trail with you all as you were all so well behaved and
your manners were fantastic. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I
did,  I look forward to seeing you all next year if you would like to
return. I am sure I will come across some of you whilst you are
shopping in store, if you see me please come over to me to say hi.
I would also like to thank all the teachers and the volunteers for
making the days a lot easier for me with all your help.

Hope to see you all soon.

Lisa England.

Smoke Free Homes

This week our pupils had Helen Shields lead assemblies linked to smoking. Children discussed what was in a cigarette and how they are bad for our health. All children were very keen to have a look at the examples of chemicals included in cigarettes and the effects these have. Children have been given a competition entry form to complete. The deadline for these is Wednesday 13th July and the winner will be announced on Thursday 21st July.

Well done Chris!

Christopher has recently completed his 1000 metres badge and taken part in 2 swimming galas for Bramcote Swimming Club. Well done Chris! Keep up all the hard work at swimming.
