We have been in the White Hills Park Collaboration of Schools for the past two years. This is an agreement to work with primary and secondary schools in our local area on projects which we think are worth pursuing. For example, senior leaders have developed a training package for staff across the 10 schools which will help support career progression. We also have a group which had delivered governor training over the past 18 months and our Office Managers/Business Managers meet regularly. The work of this collaboration will continue to grow over time.
For the past 18 months, we have been working more collaboratively with Albany Infants and Nursery School. The key aim has been to develop a ‘primary’ type experience for all of our children even though they end up attending two schools. This has meant closer work between teachers, governors and senior leaders in each school. Governors agreed a formal collaboration between the two schools in April 2019 which is planned to last for two years. We have regular joint training with our infant and nursery colleagues, our children have been working together more regularly over the past year and we plan to increase the level of work we do together. In addition, our PTAs now work together on joint fund raising events. The shared school work has a clear Collaboration Plan which is evaluated each term by a joint governor committee between the two schools.
