Forest Schools

What is Forest School?

Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, which offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. A long-term programme supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It will aid children in their development of self-confidence and self-esteem.

At Albany Junior School, we are blessed to have two members of staff, who can take children out and deliver Forest School sessions to some of our children.

Mr Tivey and Mr Still both have a level 3 FSA Forest School qualification.

Mr Tivey, at the moment, delivers Forest School sessions to year 5 on a Monday afternoon. Mr Still delivers Forest School sessions to year 4 on a Wednesday afternoon and to year 3 on a Thursday afternoon.
