Fri 26 Jul 2024Year 4 have had a very busy final week. We have learned lots about our British Values and how we can uphold them, we have had our SRE lessons, RE lessons on Hinduism and on Thursday we had a fantastic time watching the Musical production of Madagascar at the Theatre Royal. On Friday, we watched the Year 6 levers performance and sand to Mrs Wolley to thank her for our Music lessons. We also said goodbye to Miss Tilley too. The children are excited for Year 5 with their new teachers and we want to wish them a very enjoyable and safe holiday. We have really enjoyed teaching you this year.

Year 5 News
Fri 19 Jul 2024We have had a brilliant week this week. It was so lovely to start the week with our sports day. All the children tried so hard it was great to see everyone push themselves. In class, we have been focusing on healthy living, looking at how we can keep our bodies and minds healthy. We have taken part in lots of different sports and looked at having a healthy balanced diet. We have also had a push on internet safety and how to stay safe online. On Thursday, we went for a walk to Bramcote Park and looked at the different types of trees we have in our local area. Next week, we will be focusing on our RE unit for the term, British Values and our changing me unit for RHSE.
We hope you all have a great weekend

Year 3 News
Fri 19 Jul 2024Wow where to start, this week has been crazy. First of all well done to all the children for taking part in Sports day, they looked like they were having the best time. The children have also done: Axe throwing, Nerf wars, rounders, archery, orienteering and a personal favourite: Drumba. In between all that sport we have also been learning some first aid skills, and learning about our skeleton and muscles in our bodies. We have also done an hour of internet safety and the children have loved learning about different apps and websites they can continue learning on at home, I sent home a list of useful websites with the children. Next week will be just as busy so I hope you have a restful weekend.

Fri 12 Jul 2024It has been a busy week in school this week. A lot of the week has been taken up by our end of year tests. All the children have worked really hard and it has been great to see the progress they have made. On Wednesday, they spent the day with Miss Ottowell who will be their Year 6 teacher.
Thank you to the parents that came to the PE workshop and a special thank you to Mr Still for organising it for us. Despite the rain, they managed to have a go at the javelin for sports day and finished off with a mini quiz. Next week is sports day on Monday and healthy living week. Children are to come to school in their PE kit and a coloured t-shirt in their house colour. We also have a trip to the library on Thursday.
As it was test week, there has not been a spelling test. Therefore, the spellings will be carried over to next Friday. We hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy the Euro final on Sunday.
