Year 4 News
Year 4 have been really busy this week with test week, quiz week, our parent workshop and class swap day and of course the summer fair! Thank you to the parents that came along for our PE parent workshop where we practiced our skills and events in preparation for sports day, it was lovely to see parents getting involved as their own team too with Javelin and tug of war! As part of Quiz week, we have spent afternoons covering material learnt in History, Geography and Science from the whole year through team quizzes, fun recall activities and online quizzes with Kahoot! Wednesday was a great day spent in Year 5 getting to know our new teachers Miss Hubert and Mr Harding. Our Year 4 teachers read a book to us while at the Library on Thursday afternoon and we were introduced to the Summer Reading Challenge - please visit the library with your adult to enter - it has just started and runs throughout the whole of summer. Any books that were taken out on Thursday need to be returned to the Library by 1st August. If you have finished your book but are unable to get to the Library before then, bring them back to school for next Thursday as Year 5 will be going and can any books with them to be returned. On Friday we were back to our Maths lessons to finish our unit on Money. Our next unit will be Shape. Enjoy the Summer Fair and have a lovely weekend.
