The children did a fantastic job this week while the OFSTED inspectors were in, explaining and showing them what life in our school is like and what our lessons are like. Well done everyone. Our moving vehicles project has now come to an end. A lot of resilience was needed to try and get them moving! Today, to end the week, we met our DAaRT officer, who taught our first session. YEAR 6 CLASS NEWS
Fri 17 Apr 2026It has been great to see everyone after the Easter break. All of the children are working so hard in their booster sessions - we're really impressed with the effort and resilience being shown. Another reason to be proud of our Year 6 children - the behaviour and maturity shown during our trip to the Holocaust Centre was excellent. It isn't any easy topic to learn about but our children were thoughtful and respectful throughout and there were some great questions. To end the week, we also visited St Helen's church for our whole school Easter service.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Ottowell and Miss Carmichael

They are also enjoying learning about Scotland and have been researching the Loch Ness Monster which has led to some lively discussions about whether or not it is real. In Science, we have started a new topic - properties and changes of materials. This week, we looked at different materials and explored why certain materials are used for different objects. Today, we had our Easter service at St Helens Church. Thank you to all the helpers that came with us. Without your support it would not be possible.
