Year 5 News
Fri 25 Apr 2025It has been so lovely to welcome all the children back into school after Easter. We cannot believe we are already in the final term for this academic year. This week, we have started a new narrative unit in English, focusing on the book 'The Snow Leopard'. It is a beautiful book and we are hoping the children will be able to write their own versions based on the text. In maths, we have moved on to shape, exploring different angles and identifying them within shapes. On Thursday, we headed off to St Helens Church for our Easter service. Thank you so much to all the parents and carers who walked with us, we could not do it without you.
A special mention to Olivia who won the sponsored read competition. As a reward, before Easter, she got to choose a book which arrived on Thursday. Well done Olivia!
Please see attached the spellings for next week.
