Recruiting - Breakfast Club
Fri 24 Jun 2022The Lime Trees are looking to appoint additional staff for our Breakfast Club, including a club manager. Year 4 Latest News
Mon 20 Jun 2022Year 4s have had an action packed 2 weeks with residential at Beaudesert, Staffordshire, for three days last week, where 28 children had the opportunity to zip line, climb monkey tree, crate stack as high as possible, learn how to fence and much more. This week, beautiful weather was booked and our trip to Skegness was amazing, blue sea, blue skies and golden sand- perfect!. Now we are looking forward to starting our new topics of the British Isles (Geography) and Sound (Science).

Year 3 Latest News
Mon 20 Jun 2022Year 3 had an absolutely brilliant day in Skegness. They walked along the sand to the pier to buy an ice-cream and on the way back they did a beach scavenger hunt. They then had lunch and after that play a great game of rounders where some of the children were so determined to run a fast rounder they fell onto the beach. We had great fun. We then had a sandcastle competition and it brought a tear to my eye to see them all having such fun. They were really well behaved on the bus and no-one was ill! I couldn’t be prouder of Year 3 as it was a big adventure for them. I wonder if Mrs.Goffin will do it next year? Fingers crossed.

Cystic Fibrosis
Fri 17 Jun 2022WOW. We have raised £211.45 for Cystic Fibrosis by wearing yellow/non-uniform and selling ice-creams. Thank you for your continued support - Also a special thank you from Mrs McPhee to you all, as this charity is very close to her heart!

Thu 16 Jun 2022Wear Yellow for Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Day tomorrow. £1 to take part and 50p for the ice cream sale. Full uniform if children do not wish to take part please.

Year 3 Latest News
Fri 10 Jun 2022This week Year 3 have started a new topic in Maths called Shape and Space. We are learning how to use a protractor and draw and measure angles. In English we are looking at a new unit of work about a Train robbery. Our new topic on Italy starts next week and we are studying the life cycle of plants in Science.

Fri 10 Jun 2022We hope everyone had a lovely half term break. It is hard to believe it was only a week ago. The children have settled back in to school well. Due to the short last half term, we have been finishing off our science and geography topics this week ready to start rivers and the human body next week. Not long to go until the great Albany Adventure to Skegness - it is going to be fantastic. The children were given a letter about Summer Camp this week. We are really looking forward to it but really need the reply slips back ASAP.

Thu 26 May 2022This week in Year 4 it has been an exciting and busy week celebrating the Queen's jubilee with lawn games, plate painting, the Jubilee picnic and learning 'Thriller' (a dance from the 1980s- one of the decades that the Queen has lived through). Additionally, the children have learned about the Queen, her family, where she lives and other monarchs from the past. Enjoy a relaxing week off and we will see you back after the holidays. PE days will stay the same as this half term- Monday and Tuesdays.

Thu 26 May 2022Year 3 have had a fabulous Jubilee week. They have played croquet on the lawn, had a jubilee picnic, danced through the decades and painted a jubilee plate. I am sure they can tell you a lot about Queen Elizabeth II and her family. I took some photos so make sure you check them out on the 3W class pages on the Albany website. Thu 26 May 2022What a fantastic couple of weeks we have had. We are so proud of all the hard work the children have put into their SATS and how settled they have been since they finished. It has been lovely this week celebrating the Queen's Jubilee. We have been learning about her coronation and what has happened over time during her reign. Today, the children have taken part in a dance workshop where each year group has learnt a dance from a particular decade. We hope they enjoyed their plate painting and their beautiful book. We hope you all have a lovely half term.
