Year 3 News
Fri 06 Dec 2024This week, year 3 have been super busy continuing their unit on 'The Secret of Black Rock'. They are really engaged with the unit and they are loving the rumours that the story can create. We have continued practicing our christmas production and we will be going to ST Helens church next week to do I final rerun before performing to parents/ carers in the last week of term. The children are behaving really well in what is a busy period for everyone! As ever, we are super proud!

Year 5 News
Fri 06 Dec 2024Another jam-packed week in year five. Lots of fun and lots of hard work too. It was lovely to see most of you at parent's evening and what a positive evening it was. We have also completed the art boards for Hickings lane park so go and have a look.
Albany advent has started, with the children being treated each morning. In science we completed our paper helicopters, learning all about air resistance and in art we started making our Indus Valley clay beads for our jewellery. The Christmas fair was also a huge success on Friday, thanks you all for coming.

Year 6 News
Fri 06 Dec 2024We started the week celebrating the beginning of advent and everyone is enjoying the daily treats from Mrs Goffin. We also learnt how to be safe and how to rescue others in the water during our swimming lesson. A really great skill to know.
This week, we have continued our work on fractions, learning how to add and subtract a range of fractions, including mixed numbers. Times tables are really important in helping us to work with fractions so keep learning them at home please.
In DT, our doll's house project is really starting to take shape. Working in teams, we have different rooms that are being created. Furniture is being made and wallpaper and flooring are being added too. We can't wait to see the finished products.
We are all looking forward to the Albany adventure next week!
Have a great weekend.
