  • Year 5 News

Fri 04 Jul 2025 Miss Hubert & Mr Harding

Another hot one, not as hot as last week though. Test week for everyone, they have all smashed it, well done year 5. We had 3 maths, 1 spelling, 1 SPAG, 1 reading and our 200 Y3,Y4,Y5,Y6 spellings words, so very impressive. We looked at our British Values in the afternoons this week learning Rule of Law, Democracy, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and Tolerance. We continued with Spanish and P.E, again sports day training and in Art we learnt how to draw a portrait form a different angle using the Loomis Method. Sports day Monday and healthy living week for the rest. Have a great weekend.

  • Year 6 News

Fri 04 Jul 2025 Miss Ottowell

It has been another busy week in Year 6. Rehearsals for our DAaRT graduation and leavers' performance are going really well.

This week, most of the class spent a couple of days at their new secondary school, getting used to the new routines. The children in school, completed a range of activities, which were based on British Values and protected characteristics.  We also enjoyed another visit to Stapleford Library. Today is the Summer Market, which everyone is really looking forward to.

It's sports day on Monday so there is no swimming. Remember to wear PE kits with a t shirt, which is your team's colour.
