Year 6 News
This week, we have continued our work on Alan Turing and whether he made the correct decision to only stop certain attacks after cracking the Enigma code. We took part in a debate before explaining our own opinion with reasons.
In RE, we have learnt about Jewish festivals and celebrations as well as the discrimination that Jewish people faced during WW2 and the impact of this. We also discussed what an upstander is and how we could be one.
To end the week, we spent the day learning about an aspect of local history - SIr Richard Arkwright. We have investigated the question 'Was he a hero or a villain?' We used lots of information and evidence to help us reach our conclusions.
