Year 6 News

In Maths this week, we have been learning about imperial and metric units of measurement. We have found out how they link to every day life and we have been converting between different units. We are now moving on to ratio.

We have written our persuasive speeches, using all of the techniques we have learnt about and everyone has focused on the positives in order to make signing up to army sound like a fantastic opportunity. The children can be very persuasive!

In Science, we explored the different groups that animals belong to (such as reptiles, arachnids, mammals and molluscs) and the characteristics that they must have. We also thought about the reasons why a spider isn't an insect.

Have a great weekend.

Miss Ottowell
