Year 5 News

This week has flown by again!  In English, we have finished writing our non-chronological reports about the rainforest and they look fantastic.  In maths, we completed our end of unit assessment on fractions, decimals and percentages.  I think it might have been their favourite unit as everyone did really well.  In geography, we have been focusing on the different layers of the rainforest and the different animals that can be found there. 

 

Next week, we have our special rainforest day where the children are invited to come to school dressed like an animal from the rainforest and contribute a small donation to help protect a rainforest animal.  Last week, we voted to sponsor a jaguar.
