Year 5 News

This week has been test week in school.  All the children have worked incredibly hard and it is so lovely to see how much progress they have made this term.  In Science, we looked at simple mechanisms and learnt about levers, gears and pulleys.  In history, we looked at different cities in the Indus valley, comparing their houses, jobs and their structure.  In music, we learnt how to play the Egyptian song on the glockenspiel and the structure of a piece of music.  Lessons will be back to normal next week and in English, we will begin looking at instructions and in maths we will continue learning about fractions.
