Year 4 News

This week in Year 4 we have started our fractions unit within Maths and have been looking at fractions and decimals in terms of fractions less than one whole and those greater. We have also looked at tenths and hundredths and have been converting between them. In English, we have planned another adventure for Marcy, ready for us to write up as our own narrative in our next English lesson. In reading, we have been reading extracts from The Chocolate Tree which links to our History Topic The Mayans and within our Topic lessons, we have been using maps to identify where the Maya Civilisation lived. We have also designed and have started to make our Mayan inspired masks.
