Year 4 News

We have had a lovely week in Year 4. We have started our daily swimming lessons, done lots of Rainbow Grammar work and work around punctuation and recapping of basic maths skills. We also managed to finish our Maths unit on Place Value and will be looking at Addition and Subtraction from next week. We also really enjoyed learning lots more about our history Topic on the Ancient Egyptians with our Egyptian Day. We looked at canopic jars and a life-sized mummy which we could remove organs from. We also tried our hand at weaving, amulet making using clay and were introduced to the ancient Egyptian game of Mancala. One of the highlights from the day was the Virtual Reality experience where we learnt lots of new interesting facts about Ancient Egyptian pyramids, Pharaohs and daily life. Please hand in your topic homework books next week. The spellings for next week are below. Have a lovely weekend.
