Year 4 News

This week, Year 4 have been learning how to use time conjunctions, imperative verbs, precise adjectives, adverbs and other key features used in instructions. In Maths, the children have been exploring numbers above 1,000, labelling number lines and partitioning numbers into thousands, hundreds, tens and ones and partitioning numbers flexibly too. In Science, we did a cracker experiment to see how the enzymes in our saliva break down food and in Topic we have learnt about hieroglyphics and wrote our names using them on papyrus paper. In DT we were introduced to what a shaduf is and have labelled one in preparation for us designing and making our own later this term. The spellings for next week are below. Have a good weekend.
