Year 6 News

This week's news:

Y6 started the week with a brilliant trip to Newstead Abbey, where we were transported back in time to the Victorian era. We were able to watch a magic lantern show, we made our own herb bags and we found out what life would have been like for the children. We were really proud of how well everyone behaved and got involved with the activities.

In Science, everyone had the chance to create their own rainbow, using torches, mirrors, water and prisms. This showed us that light is made up of 7 colours. We have started working on our dolls' houses this week, thinking about suitable features and decorations that could be included.

It has also been test week. Well done to everyone for trying their best in all tests. Tests scores will be shared at parents' evening.

Here are next week's spellings - keep practicing them.
