Year 6 News

This week, everyone has been working hard in our fractions unit, where we have found equivalent fractions and converted mixed and improper fractions. We have realised how important times tables are for fractions! In English, focusing on the Highwayman, we have identified the figurative language that is used and we explored how the different characters felt. We have also planned a diary entry, based on the events in the poem. In Science, we found out how and why shadows change, using the torches to investigate. 

 

We are all looking forward to our trip to Newstead Abbey on Monday. Have a lovely weekend.
