Year 6 News
This week, in English, Y6 have been finding out about Anne Frank, how WW2 affected her and why she is still remembered today. We will be using this research to write our own biographies about her. Also linked to WW2, we have been learning about the Holocaust and how Jewish people were treated. This will help us a lot when we visit the Holocaust Centre in April.
In Maths, we have been learning something brand new - ratio. We have learnt how to write and calculate ratios and we have also been introduced to proportion, which helps us to adapt the ingredients in a recipe.
We also took part in worry workshops this week, where we thought about the affect anxiety can have on us. To help us, we discussed different strategies that can be used.
