Year 6 News
There has been lots of brilliant work in Year 6 this week. In Maths, we have been learning about metric and imperial measurements and how to convert them. This was a good way to recap our knowledge of place value and fractions. In History, we found out about the precautions that Britain took during WW2, including blackouts and building air raid shelters. We have been really impressed with how engaged the children are in this topic, including during music and art lessons. We have written our speeches too and they definitely sound persuasive. The vocabulary and techniques used have added to the effectiveness of them, making the information sound more tempting.
