Year 5 News

It was so lovely to welcome all the children back after the Christmas holiday.  We hope you had a wonderful Christmas! This week, we have welcomed a new teacher in Year 5 - Mrs Bishop - who will be teaching 5 Bishop until the summer holidays.  This term, our focus is the Normans.  In English, we have been exploring the features of a debate and next week will be debating who we believe should have been named king after the death of King Edward. In Science, we have started learning about the different parts of a plant and how they reproduce.  Despite  the arrival of snow, it was fab to see so many children in school today and we hope you all get to have fun in the snow over the weekend.  

Please see the spelling list below for the spelling test next week.  Your child should have come home with a copy of the homework grid for this term and information about trips and visits related to our topics.  If they have not made it home, please see the website or ask for another copy.
