Year 4 News
This week, we have been working on using expanded noun phrases, adverbials and speech for our Mayan narrative inspired by The Chocolate Tree story. In Maths, we have finished our unit on fractions and have been looking at recognising tenths and hundredths and tenths as decimals. We have been doing lots of RE this week too, looking at the Easter Story, focusing on the key events such as The Last Supper, Maundy Thursday, Judas’ betrayal and have looked into different crosses and the symbolism they have for Christians. In Spanish, we have looked at how adjectives (colours) change depending on the gender of the noun. We are really looking forward to next week and our Albany Adventure on Thursday! Remember to keep practising your spellings and in your handwriting and times table homework which is due in every Friday – next week please bring in for Thursday due to our INSET day.
