Year 3 News

We are now getting into the normal school routine in year 3. We have now started our first English lesson and our first Maths lesson, with the children making excellent starts in both. Our phonics and spellings groups are now in action each morning and I have included the spelling words we are learning below. The children have coped very well with being inside mid-week due to the torrential rain and luckily P.E lesson went ahead on the sunnier days. In music we examined Space Oddity by David Bowie in detail and revisited place value in maths and started writing expanded noun phrases in English. We had a special guest in on Friday and the children were excited about meeting an athlete and learning about the future lesson they will be doing.
