Thank you for considering Albany Junior School as the next step in your child’s education. Below is some information regarding the processes and useful information is attached.

In order for your child to attend Albany Junior School you will need to apply through the Nottinghamshire County Council Admissions Portal. We would love for you to arrange a visit and have a look around the school too. All you need to do is contact us on 0115 9176550 and our office staff are happy to assist with the arrangements.

To apply for a school place through the Nottinghamshire County Council website www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/education/school-admissions

and follow the pathway, alternatively ring them on 0300 500 8080.

If you are looking to transfer your child from another school to Albany Junior School you will need to apply for an "In-Year Transfer 2025-26", and select your child's year group. This can be done at any time of year and we will contact you as soon as we receive the application. 

If you are looking to apply for a Junior Year 3 place at Albany Junior School for September 2026 you will need to apply for an "Infant to Junior Transfer 2026". Infant to Junior Transfers open on November 3rd 2025 and close on 15th January 2026.

• Closing date: 15th January 2026
• National Offer Day: 16th April 2026
