4 Marshall

Welcome to 4M.

We are enjoying many fascinating topics and exciting experiences this year in Year 4.

In 4M, the teacher is Mrs Marshall and is supported by our fantastic teaching assistants Mrs Thomas and Mrs Jelley. We also have Spanish with our specialist teacher Senora Creese and Miss Weatherall will teach on a Thursday afternoon.

 Intervention groups are led by our teaching assistants, Mrs Jelley and Mrs Thomas.

PE

There are two more swimming sessions left at Bramcote Leisure Centre on a Monday afternoon (28th April and 12th May). We leave school at 1.30 and aim to return by the end of the school day..

Kit requirements are that boys wear fitted trunks- not baggy/ with pockets. Girls should wear a one piece swimming costume. Goggles can be worn if a form has been signed and earrings should be out (unless form signed). These are the requirements set by the Leisure Centre.

NOTE- Year 4 will now also have PE on a Tuesday afternoon. Kit requirement is a plain white T shirt and a plain black hoodie as well as a plain black pair of leggings, joggers or shorts.

Children should come come to school in PE kits on a Tuesday.

Each half term, there is a class read, which will link to the topic being studied. The aim is to give the children an opportunity of having a book being read to them and building on the knowledge they are learning in humanities (topic- history and geography) lessons. Parts of the book will be studied more in depth in reading sessions.
