This week has flown by!  In Science, we have continued learning about plants and the different types of pollination.  In History, we learnt about the Doomsday book.  We learnt about what it was, why it was introduced and how different groups of people would have felt about it.  In English, we have been learning about debates and have started to develop our own thoughts and ideas about who we believe should have been crowned King after the death of Edward the Confessor.  We are really looking forward to having our own debate next week.   On Thursday 1st February, we will be inviting parents in to school for one of our English lessons.  Please see the letter coming home tonight.

This week year 6 have been getting stuck into their world war II topic. They have been learning more about concentration camps, reading their new class text (The Silver Sword) and they have also been finalising their writing unit on convincing young soldiers to go to war using a number of different persuasive features- something they have thoroughly enjoyed doing. In maths, the children have been working extensively with fractions and they are much more confident in multiplying and dividing fractions. As always, we are really proud of their effort and maturity in doing all they can to be the best they can be. Below you will see next weeks spelling list.
