I am really pleased to be able to welcome you to the Albany Junior School website. I cannot believe I have been here for over three years already. It has gone so fast. We really hope that you find this website up to date and easy to navigate. I would like to welcome Mr. Paul Allen as the new Head Teacher of Albany Infants. Our working relationship is a very positive one. Despite being a Forest fan he is very keen to work closely with us in ensuring that your children get the very best education we can offer.
You can see information about our Vision and Values, Clubs and our recent fund raising events. Each teacher is currently adding information about what their class will be doing this year. You will also find details about Enrichment, the new Curriculum and E-Safety.
The Latest News section is one you will continue to see regularly updated by different members of staff. We have recently added information about our new curriculum, knowledge organisers and the improved results from Summer 2017.
We are a good school and this is reflected in everything we do from teaching, the children's progress, the way we nuture and support children and also increasingly how we are able to integrate more vulnerable learners who may have struggled in other settings.
Our big focuses as a school this year are increasing the collaboration work we do with our infant feeder, Albany Infants and also improving how we teach Reading and growing a love of Reading amongst our children. We continue to work with our Patron of Reading, Gareth Baker and also encourage you to attend the Stay and Read sessions we are organising this term.
