Sports Day
Fri 25 May 2018Wow what beautiful weather we had! Thank you to parents for attending, cheering and supporting everyone in their events. A special mention to the adults who took part in the races as well. We were once again so proud of our pupils for the behaviour, participation, team spirit and helpfulness.
I am pleased to announce that the winning team overall was:
BLUE with 343 points.
2nd place was YELLOW with 327 points
3rd place was GREEN with 312 points
4th place was RED with 298 points
With your help, the FoAJ refreshments stand, raised £119.50. -
Year 6 Enterprise – Wildthing Summer Camp
Fri 25 May 2018It's certainly been a day of mixed emotions! No better way to send Mr Tivey on his way, than a 'soak the teacher event'. The wet weather didn't hamper the event. We raised £89 towards our end of term Summer Camp. I think it's fair to say, Mr Tivey and I got a 'proper soaking' and a number of sponges were definitely on target.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event....secretly I think Mr Tivey and I enjoyed it just as much as the pupils! I do however have a very long memory and will no doubt recall the shots that hit the target, when I'm writing reports over half term!
Huge thanks for your continued support.....more events to follow after half term. Watch this space!

Year 6 Enterprise – Wildthing Summer Camp - More Activities
Tue 22 May 2018As you will now be aware, Mr Tivey leaves us on Friday 25th May 2018. To mark his departure and to raise further funds for our Year 6 Summer Camp, we will be holding a 'Soak a Teacher' event.
During Friday morning break, I will be supporting Mr Tivey, as pupils are encouraged to purchase sponges to aim and soak us! (We must be mad!) Pupils can purchase 1 sponge for 50p or 3 sponges for £1. I'm sure they will all enjoy the opportunity to soak us through. During this break-time, ice-creams will also be available to purchase.
The small change challenge is still running, so any loose change is welcome.
A huge thank you for everyone's support so far. It really is greatly appreciated.

Year 6 Enterprise – Wildthing Summer Camp
Tue 15 May 2018Pupils in Year 6 are continuing to raise funds for their summer camp, which is due to take place on Monday 23rd July and Tuesday 24th July. During the remainder of this term, pupils will be running a number of events to continue their fundraising efforts.
These are as follows:-
1. Dress Down Friday – On Friday 18th May Year 6 pupils will be allowed to attend school in PJ’s/onesies. For a fee of £1 they can enjoy the day in their most comfy attire in recognition of their hard work during SATs week.
2. Small Change Challenge – From Tuesday 8th May, pupils in 6G and 6T will compete in the Small Change Challenge. Pupils are asked to collect and donate whatever small change they can spare. A container will be placed in each classroom. The class raising the most money by the time the containers are counted on Friday 29th June 2018, will win themselves a non-uniform day.
3. Ice-Cream Sale – On Friday 11th May, during afternoon break pupils are able to purchase an ice-cream. These will be sold for £1. Any surplus ice-creams will be available to purchase at the end of the school day.
