  • Sports Day

Thu 23 May 2019 Miss Gibson

What a fantastic day we had on Monday. It was wonderful to see the pupils demonstrating the 5R’s throughout the morning field events of: Javelin, Long or Triple Jump and the Long Distance Run, as well as the multitude of afternoon events. Thankfully the weather held out and the conditions were perfect. Thank you to parents for attending, cheering and supporting everyone in their events. We were once again so proud of our pupils for the behaviour, participation, team spirit and helpfulness shown throughout the event.

    The results were as follows:

    1st – Yellow Team = 318 points

    2nd – Blue Team = 306 points

    3rd – Red Team = 305 points

    4th – Green Team = 301 points.

The FoAJ have kindly offered to run a refreshments stand, with your help £45 was raised. Thanks Miss Gibson

  • SATs Week

Thu 16 May 2019 Miss Gibson

We made it! We survived SATs!

A massive well done to all of our Year 6 pupils. Despite the challenge of SATs this week, you have all demonstrated resilience and a determination to do your best. Pupils have attended breakfast boosters, taken part in relaxation/yoga workouts and tackled the SATs tests with maturity. Each and every one of you has given 100% and whatever the results, we are proud of what you have achieved. The results will come out in early July and will be sent to you along with your child’s school report.

Many thanks for everyone's support this week and in the weeks leading up to it: Teachers and TA's for supporting breakfast boosters and for reminding the pupils how brilliant they are, Bow for preparing us with her daily workouts and members of the Governing Body for supporting as readers, observers and invigilators. Parents/Carers, our thanks to you also for supporting the pupils with revision, homework tasks, encouragement and ensuring they were well rested and prepared for the day. We couldn't have done it without you.

As a reward for their efforts, Y6 pupils have a 'dress down Friday' tomorrow. They may attend school in their PJ's, onsesie's or non-uniform, in exchange for a £1 donation towards our Summer Camp fundraising efforts.

Many thanks for your continued support. Best Wishes Miss Gibson & Miss Hubert.
