Year 5 News

This week has flown by! We have finished and published our myths in English, we also worked on adding and subtracting with decimals greater than one in maths and as part of R.E. we have been learning more about Hinduism and Islam, what it means to follow their religions and comparing their similarities and differences. The highlight of the week was our Scottish day, we tried Scottish foods including savoury foods such as haggis, black pudding and Scotch pie as well as tasting a selection of delicious deserts including tablet and clootie dumpling. We also loved dressing up in traditional highland dress and were able to compete in highland games like Tug O’War, Caber Toss and Hammer Throw. We hope you all have a lovely half-term and stay safe!
