Summer

The Homework grids are suggested activites that the children could have a go at.

During the summer term, the first half term will be spent studying Scotland and learning all kinds of information about physical and human features in this country and where they are located, about traditional celebrations and considering whether we think Scotland should be independent from England. Our Class read is 'A Stranger Came to Shore' by Mollie Hunter.

In the second half of the term, we move onto the Tudors and plan to have a Tudor Day in June. To support this unit, we will be reading MacBeth- a rather grisly tale, exploring feelings and jealousy and ambition and the consequences of this.

In Science, we will be studying Materials and their properties. This will involve lots of investigations.
