Welcome back to the new term in a new decade. This term the topics are The Normans and The Rainforest. We will be exploring how William of Normandy took the crown and the changes he made to England. During the Rainforest topic, Zoolab will visit, bringing several animals that live in the Rainforest. Topic homework has been set for the Normans. There are 32 activities to choose from (or you could think of your own). Have a go at least two of these. There will be homework for the Rainforest set after half term. We will be studying Life Cycles and Living Things in Science.

In addition, we ask that spellings (which are given out on a Friday) are practiced during the week. They will be tested the following Friday. Also, learn times tables. This will help in Maths lessons this term (fractions, decimals and percentages). We will focus on a times table each week and will test on a Friday (this will include divisions).

Reading continues to be a focus. Please try to read out loud to someone at home three times each week and ask them to record in your reading record with a comment and a signature.
