School Closure Announcement - Starting Monday 23rd March
You are no doubt aware that the Prime Minster announced yesterday that as of Monday 23rd March, all UK schools will close for an indefinite period.
Alongside this announcement came a selection of other hugely important policy decisions.
School leaders spent much of yesterday evening considering the implications for the Albany Schools and our pupils. We plan to spend Thursday amending our closure planning in light of the announcements. We also plan to be in touch as soon as possible to provide you with further information.
It would be helpful if you didn’t contact the school on Thursday (today) asking for further information on the impending school closure, children of key worker supervision, or the provision of Free School Meals. There is a danger that we will become swamped by calls for advice, meaning that the school staff will not make progress on planning for the impending closure.
Please trust us to communicate fully later today or earlier if things go according to plan.
Many thanks for your consideration and continued support.
