Welcome to 3M

Miss Mercer is our class teacher and there are 25 children. We have help from Mrs Morley, Mrs Limb, Mrs Jelley and Mrs Burley at various points during the week. On a Friday afternoon, Mrs Morley and Mr Still teach us.

Click on the links below to find out what we are doing in each term this year.

Homework Diaries

Please make sure that children always have their planners with them at school each day and take them home each evening. This is a fantastic means of communication between school and home. Each week the children write in any homework they need to complete and also stick in a timetable for the following week so they know what to expect. There's space for parents/carers to write a note for their child to pass onto me.

We have PE on a Monday and Wednesday. You will need to come to school, on those days, in your correct school PE kit. You will wear the kit all day as we are currently not getting changed in the classrooms. You will need trainers, a white tshirt, black shorts or a plain black, grey or red tracksuit. We will be outside for every PE lesson so make sure you have a warm jumper!

Spelling books

Children have been provided with green spelling books. Each week , on a Friday, we stick in the spellings which they need to practice at home. The colour of their spelling group can be found on the front page of their spellings books in the top corner. Children are tested on the words they have learned every Friday.

Times tables

Each week we practice a different times table every morning for the whole week. Please try and learn your 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 x tables. If you can learn the 6,7,9,11 and 12 x tables, I will be even more impressed! Every child has a Times Tables Rockstars login which is stuck on the back of their homework diaries which they can use to help them learn their tables.

Follow these links to fun songs to help you remember those x tables you find tricky.
Get out and about over the school holidays. Use the leaflets below to enjoy the fresh air.
